Met haar optreden in the Qube in het vizier, zijn wij ontzettend nieuwsgierig geworden hoe én natuurlijk waarvoor Dua Lipa haar tracks schrijft. En we kunnen je garanderen, she will blow your mind! Smak! ;-)

Waar gaat 'Blow Your Mind (Mwah)' van Dua Lipa nou écht over? Ze zegt zelf: "Being happy in your skin and being proud of who you are." Dua Lipa kiest voor de uitdagende business van muziek en er zijn natuurlijk altijd mensen om haar heen die dat gek vinden. Ze heeft zichzelf namelijk altijd gezien als iemand die anders wilt zijn dan 'gewoon normaal'.

"It's a bit sassy". Dat is wat ze zelf zegt over de eerste zinnen van het nummer. Het gaat om het gevoel dat je een relatie met iemand hebt, wat zó goed gaat dat het vooral niet te koop is met geld.

Met het muziekwereldje komen natuurlijk ook doelen naar boven. Haar familie en vrienden houden haar met beide voetjes veilig op de vloer. De persoon in de relatie is bang voor de carrièredoelen van Dua Lipa, en diegene denkt dat Dua is veranderd. Maar haar familie en vrienden houden haar zoals ze is, altijd.

Waarom zou de persoon in de relatie bij Dua Lipa blijven wanneer diegene het er allemaal niet mee eens is? En dat is precies wat deze lyrics en Dua Lipa willen vertellen: "Why do you keep coming back to me?"

Maar natuurlijk, liefde overwint alles. De persoon in kwestie is aangetrokken tot Dua Lipa en blijft bij haar omdat de carrièredoelen ook wel weer aantrekkelijk zijn... Ze zegt zelf: "And they will fight against the reason they love you blind, because they wouldn't have you any other way." Dit bewijst maar weer dat je gewoon jezelf moet blijven.
